Long Arc News: Reading the Fault Lines

Long Arc News is the field journal of Nazem Alkudsi, CFA, a former sovereign wealth fund CEO in Abu Dhabi.

It examines how physical constraints—energy, minerals, water, shipping capacity and infrastructure—move through markets, institutions and political credibility.

Nazem spent nearly two decades at the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority. He served as Chief Investment Officer of the National Bank of Abu Dhabi from 2007 to 2008 and as CEO of Invest AD from 2008 to 2014. His career also includes board roles across the UAE, Turkey and Egypt.

That institutional background is a lens, not the subject.

Free subscribers receive occasional public essays. Paid subscribers receive the weekly Fault Line Brief: five signals, one mispriced risk, and what changed in the probabilities. The Principals also receive Arc Briefing recordings and access to a private channel with Nazem.

Long Arc News does not provide investment advice. It offers original, sourced analysis of the mechanisms beneath the headline.

Interviews and coverage: Oxford Business Group (2013) · Pensions & Investments (2008) · Bloomberg (2015).
